Museum Recon

Last week I visited a number of museums in Fort Worth. Among my favorites were the Amon Carter Museum and the Cowgirl Hall of Fame. This William Harnett work displayed at Amon Carter is stunning when experienced up close. The Cowgirl Hall of Fame displays and the multimedia made cowgirl history relevant to women in all walks of life, and the men who love them.

The Lifetiles by Rufus Seder provide a fascinating showcase for the downstairs entryway that highlights hall of fame members.

I have a dozen fabulous ideas for essays, white papers, short stories, non-fiction or semi-biographical books. But I have neither the courage nor the stamina to break rocks with a shovel.

Architectural Timeline: Arts & Crafts

I'm in the process of giving my front bathroom a makeover. Not an extreme makeover -- just some spackle, fresh paint, new hardware, a new shower curtain and a different window treatment. Trying to keep the architectural integrity of my 1920's Craftsman-style home.
